Patent, Trixie and Lucky 15 compared
A Trixie uses the same three picks without the singles, so it's four bets and needs two winners. A Lucky 15 is the Patent idea stretched to four picks, which makes it 15 bets.
Pick the Patent when you have three selections and want something back if only one comes in.
When a Patent suits you
- Three selections where you'd be happy with a return from one winner.
- Longer prices, where a single winner can cover most of the stake.
Watch out for
- You pay for the three singles every time, even when two or three picks win.
- At short prices one winner usually returns less than the seven line stake.
